CARE
“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28)
At Light, we desire to Be With Jesus, Become Like Jesus, and Do What Jesus Did. To do that, we must put the love of God into action in our daily lives. Romans 12 calls us to be devoted to one another in Christ-like love. For us, this means caring sincerely for the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of our community. We want to be here for you, no matter the season of life you may be in.
We are equipped to handle practical, logistical and crisis care in the immediate, logistical and communal support in the ongoing care and relational and spiritual needs in the long term. We carry out this mission by accessing internal support as well as, referring to trusted agencies and organizations.

Pastoral Care
There are seasons when we all need support—whether you’re walking through grief, change, or simply feeling overwhelmed. Pastoral care offers a safe place to be heard, prayed for, and encouraged. Wherever you are, you don’t have to walk alone.
Premarital care is about walking alongside you as you prepare for marriage, creating space to grow in communication, strengthening your foundation, and building a healthy, lasting relationship. Whether you’re newly engaged or simply exploring what’s next, we’re here to support and guide you every step of the way.

Professional Help
We believe community and peer support are essential parts of caring for one another, but there are times when additional support from a trained professional is needed. As a church, we encourage you to begin by checking with your medical insurance provider. Many insurance plans offer coverage for therapy sessions with in-network providers, which can be a helpful and cost-effective option.
If you are still searching for support, we have provided a growing resource list of trusted therapists, counselors, and spiritual directors. These individuals offer professional care and guidance for a variety of seasons and needs.

Practical Needs
We desire for our community to experience and know God in a holistic way. We are aware that life happens and there are very real added barriers that make it challenging to live into the full restoration that God desires for us. Our hope is that we can walk alongside those in our church, fulfilling the call that there will be no needy person among us (Acts 4:34).
